Malaysian businessman Dato’ Chan Tien Ghee (TG) today rang Tim Hartley, chair of Cardiff City Supporters’ Trust, following confirmation of £6m investment in the football club.
Tim Hartley said: “TG contacted me at home this morning to break the news of the investment. He is thrilled to be associated with Cardiff City and expressed his total commitment to the club.
“We have established a good working relationship already and TG made it clear that he is looking forward to working with the Trust and Cardiff City Supporters’ Club. He believes that the board, shareholders, fans’ groups all have key roles to play as custodians of our great club.
“TG is due to return to Malaysia tomorrow but plans to be back for the Play-offs and told me that he hoped to meet the Trust on his return to Wales.
“The investment is great news and I must say that we have been very impressed with the way TG has conducted himself. We look forward to developing a very good working relationship” added Tim Hartley.
