CITY FAN RUNS IN BERLIN FOR KEENOR APPEAL

KEEN City fan Richard Lewis put his best foot forward in Berlin to raise funds for the Fred Keenor Statue Fund.

Richard, 33, ran the Berlin Marathon last month, and has already collected around £140 along with raising sponsorship for Sir Bobby Robson’s cancer charity.

Richard, who works for the Welsh Assembly Government, completed the run in 4 hours 56 minutes, 12 seconds. His wife Delyth also took part in aid of cancer charity Tenovus finishing in a splendid time of 3 hours, 55 minutes, 20 minutes.

Richard told us: “I will be raiding my mates’ wallets after the Wales game on Friday for some further sponsorship.”

Fund Press Officer Phillip Nifield said: “We’re really grateful for Richard’s efforts in Berlin. We’d like to see more supporters following his lead and taking part in events or organising their own in aid of the fund.”
