Generous Bluebirds fans donated bags full of food, pet pouches and tins and nappies for the Trust’s collection in aid of the Vale Foodbank.

More than 1,000 items altogether were handed in at the Trust office before today’s Sunderland game.

Cardiff City players Jamilu Collins and Ebou Adams brought donations and we had also several large cash gifts. The total amount raised in cash, which included a £100 donation from the Trust, will be announced shortly.

Phillip Nifield, Trust Board member, said: “The Trust and the foodbank workers would like to thank fans for so many generous donations and for the fantastic support for the collection from Cardiff City, its staff and players.”
